This kit was built a few years back and was the 2nd project I’ve built from scratch.  It’s a basic oscillator  circuit with eight  notes that are individually tunable.  It is monophonic but pressing down multiple buttons will effect the pitch of the others because the resistance gets summed.  I decided to used large arcade style buttons so you could rapidly tap on them for a percussive effect but it turns out to really shine as a bass square wave synth.

This was is an easy project and great for a beginning project.  It was really more about learning about building and finishing the case and making sure it was usable and very “playable”.
